The fact that you are here probably means that you have heard about house swapping, and are curious about how you can do it.  Its as simple as listing your property on HouseSwapFinder.com, describing what kind of property you would like to swap with, and wait to hear from any interested people.

Step 1

To add your house to our database, simply click on the Swap your house link on the FREE house swap listing menu. Dont worry if you have an apartment or other type of property. You can swap any type of property you like. On the sign up page, fill in your personal details, whether you want to swap permanently or whether you are swapping for a vacation.  Then you can choose between a FREE TRIAL or a number of paid listing options.

If you choose one of the paid listing options, you will be able to pay by PayPal.

After paying for your listing, an empty listing will be created for you. In the Edit My Listings section simply select the listing and fill in the details of your house, and the details of what you would like to swap it for. Remember to set Active to yes to activate your listing.

Step 2

You can search through the current listings, and look for any potential properties that meet your criteria. Just fill in the details of what you are looking for in the Search listings option from the main menu. Or you can browse all the listings from the View all listings option. 

Top Tip

For the best chances of success, dont be too picky!  The more you restrict your options, the less likely you are to find a match.

You will be presented with a listings page, with any potential properties that you could swap with.  Click on the Contact Agent/Owner link, if you would like to get in touch with the owner to ask any questions or propose a swap.
